Last Words: Seven Sayings from the Heart of Christ on the Cross

In my most recent Monthly newsletter, I wrote,

"I have wanted to write a book for nearly 15 years. In 2013, I began a series of creative messages on Good Friday. They developed into my book: Last Words: Seven Sayings from the Heart of Christ on the Cross set to print January of next year.

The process is so much more involved than I imagined. I think I spent over 350 hours on it! Some of that was because it was my first time writing a book. Several of you have read and offered valuable feedback for this book. Thank you! With your help, this book is better than it has ever been.

Here is what
Jon Bloom (Author, Board Chair & Co-founder of Desiring God Ministries) had to say about it before my editors got to it.

"We are fascinated by the last words a person speaks. We ponder them, even dissect them, looking for meaning. Since the church's earliest days, Christians have pondered the last words the greatest Man ever spoke as a mortal. Here Rob Nash joins this ancient succession of meditation, dissecting the dying words of the divine Son. And he shows us that in them is a world of profoundly personal meaning. For Jesus meant them for each of us."

Thanks, Jon!

  1. It's that smile when you stand before us at SHC to preach The Word
and when you greet us and when you teach and when you give us a benediction at the end of the Sunday worship service. That smile comes from your heart and says that you love GOD and delight in HIM! And it's contagious! Just read your recent email. I am fortified for the day by the catalog of truths about GOD in Psalm 145. Looking forward to reading your book...a labor of love to be sure. More love to Thee, O Christ!
