The Book of Acts: A Commentary by C. Peter Wagner FREE
This month Logos is giving away a copy of the book The Book of Acts: A Commentary by C. Peter Wagner free.
From the publisher:
Experience Pentecost. Look on as 130 converts shake a city. Meet Paul and go with him as he plants the first Gentile church. Extend the kingdom’s power and see the enemy upset. Walk with Paul as he travels to Corinth, Antioch, Ephesus, and beyond.
For those desiring to be a part of God’s action in their churches, communities, and throughout the world, there is nothing that will help more than thoroughly understanding the book of Acts and applying what we can learn from it. Acts was designed to be God’s training manual for Christians. It worked in the early church and it works in the postmodern world. Join noted author, scholar, and practitioner C. Peter Wagner as he journeys through the entire text of the book of Acts, uncovering all of the major themes and illuminating what we can learn for our present situations. For Christians desiring a deeper knowledge of the Bible and, specifically, understanding of the book of Acts, this exciting book will bring new intimacy with the Spirit and new joy in doing his will.
C. Peter Wagner, the "apostle" of New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) / Third Wave / Dominionism?
ReplyDeleteSurely this is going to be a heavily charismatic book full of false teaching. Very disappointing that this is the Logos free book of the month.
Likely. I tend to collect all types of commentaries. I am not a supporter of the Word of Faith movement which is also something apparently he supports. I don't know all the ins and outs of theological debates you are bringing up. So, all should be discerning if you read it. Thank you for the warning.
