Jesus an Obedient Son by Michael Phillips FREE
From the publisher:
The bond of the universe, the chain that holds it together, the one active unity, the harmony of things, is the devotion of the Son to the Father. It is the life of the universe.
Jesus An Obedient Son
For many years, best-selling author Michael Phillips assumed he clearly understood the life of Jesus. Then came a crisis in his spiritual pilgrimage when circumstances forced him to open the Book of Life in a new way and delve more deeply into the fundamental why of Jesus' Life.
The result is a fresh understanding of the essence—the foundation—of spirituality: the raw reality of the gospel. No frills. No excess baggage. No trite little phrases learned in Sunday school or youth group.
He discovers a key that gives validity to an entire life's purpose and perspective as a Christian for right now. That thing is OBEDIENCE.

I'm surprised to see a recommendation of Destiny Image. I would tend to avoid them on principle.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your concern about the publisher. I did wonder about it. I can't endorse every book or most of the books I recommend. From my brief read on it, it looked like it was helpful enough to share. However, I would love to hear your concerns in general about the publisher and specifically about the book and author. Feel free to comment below. I will from time to time remove posts or not even share the books that come along. At times books seem helpful in that they offer us an alternative perspective to reflect on. Other times, books may so off they are a waste of time. Thanks again for sharing your concerns with me and the readership.
DeleteI certainly understand you can't endorse every book.
DeleteI'm not familiar with this book or author. However, Destiny Image is part of Harrison House. They publish a lot of books I would consider of questionable theology. For example, they publish a lot of word of faith / prosperity gospel, Ken Copeland, Ken Hagin, Joseph Prince, Osteen. A lot of stuff I would be very careful with or outright avoid.
Thanks, I didn't know that. I agree with your concern. The word of faith and prosperity gospel is not the gospel. It is a false gospel.
